Meet everyone running for elected office in Livonia

As one of the race's two incumbents, McIntyre thinks her experience will help serve on council with a different perspective than the first-time candidates. She said she wants to keep moving the city forward as she feels she has in her first term on council.

"Livonia remains an absolutely outstanding community in every regard that I can think of," she said. "We have the lowest base millage rate of any city in Wayne County, we have absolutely exceptional public safety departments."

Some of the things she wants to continually move forward are money management, the police and fire departments and economic development.

The senior transit bus driven by Mike delivered 22 seniors from the senior center along with sponsor Councilwoman Kathleen McIntyre. A first and hopefully the start of a tradition as the seniors were overheard asking when was the next concert.
